The
Position
The Nursing Department Chair and California Director of
Nursing will oversee four current campuses and three additional campuses in
development, expansion of cohorts of existing campuses, the launch of a new MSN
program in 2010, and the approval to begin developing a DNP program. A
visionary academic nursing leading with demonstrated leadership and
administrative experience is desired. Candidates must possess a PhD, strong
record as a nursing educator, record of research and scholarship, and curriculum
development experience.

School
This university is the second-largest, private, nonprofit
institution of higher learning in California. The university consists of five
schools and one college, including the Schools of Business and Management, Education,
Engineering and Technology, Health and Human Services, Media and Communication,
and the College of Letters and Sciences. National University offers 100
undergraduate degrees, as well as 22 teacher credential and certificate
programs.
