As the Vice President of the Central Division for B.E. Smith, Brett Brende brings more than 20 years of experience in talent assessment and management, customer and employee satisfaction, and business development. Mr. Brende has excelled at building trust and developing relationships with his clients to provide solutions in a style that is responsive, professional, and personal. His prior experience involved working in the healthcare and hospitality industries and included work with a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient. Specifically, he assisted organizations in reengineering and improving customer satisfaction and loyalty initiatives to drive growth.
Mr. Brende holds a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources from the Tippie School of Management at the University of Iowa. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from South Dakota State University.
As Vice President of the Central East Division for B.E. Smith, Jason Burritt brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience. His successful career spans both healthcare and healthcare IT in the acute care and behavioral health settings in the U.S. and internationally. He has held various executive and leadership roles in healthcare administration, healthcare IT, business development, and operations. Specific areas of expertise include strategic client alignment, business development, operational improvement, leadership and strategic healthcare IT initiatives. Prior to joining B.E. Smith, Mr. Burritt held key leadership roles with such industry leaders as St. Luke's Episcopal Health System (TX), Cerner Corporation, and Netsmart Technologies. Through a broad set of leadership roles he supported a wide range of healthcare organizations from large academic medical centers to community hospitals. He excelled at developing strong partnerships with healthcare executives, assisting them in achieving critical clinical, financial, and operational initiatives. Mr. Burritt is dedicated to serving the needs of healthcare organization across the central east, particularly organizations in the states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Mr. Burritt holds a Master of Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
As the Northeast Division Vice President for B.E. Smith, Sandy Cugliotta brings over 20 years of technical and sales management and leadership experience in healthcare technology organizations from very large companies to start-up ventures. Mr. Cugliotta is experienced at creating networks, liaisons, and business connections, while also negotiating joint ventures and strategic partnerships. Throughout his career he has helped executives transform clinical and financial operations to provide greater efficiencies.
Mr. Cugliotta holds a Masters of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science from Widener University, Chester, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Brian Krehbiel’s professional career consists of more than 20 years of extensive experience in the healthcare industry. A nationally recognized leader in healthcare management, Mr. Krehbiel is a trusted advisor to clients across the United States and abroad. Having worked alongside healthcare industry leaders throughout his career, Mr. Krehbiel has been part of more than 1,500 successful senior-level leadership projects, ranging from small critical access hospitals to large, nationally acclaimed academic centers of excellence. As a seasoned executive, Mr. Krehbiel’ s experience in top-level client satisfaction has led to a series of prolific advisory roles for top healthcare systems, educational organizations, boards, and hospital associations. He is a frequent contributor at leadership meetings and events, and is considered an expert on strategic, executive-level talent, as well as leadership development and succession planning.
Mr. Krehbiel has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University, and has also completed graduate work at the University of Chicago.
Tanner Burch brings more than six years of experience serving healthcare organization in a variety of areas including operations, strategic planning, business development, and marketing. As Division Director, he manages operations for B.E. Smith in the New England and mid-Atlantic markets. He specializes in building strong partnerships with regional Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), community, and rural hospitals. Mr. Burch’s proven track record assisting healthcare providers is a credit to his expertise and understanding of healthcare trends. Based in Boston, he supports organizations across the healthcare continuum through B.E. Smith’s robust leadership and recruitment services. B.E. As Director in B.E. Smith’s Client Organization division, Troy Fletcher brings more than five years of healthcare experience. In this role, he establishes strong partnerships with healthcare organizations in the Central East region, which includes the states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. His proven track record enables him to assist organizations in a variety of critical areas including strategic initiatives and planning, healthcare reform, and health IT management. Prior to joining B.E. Smith, Mr. Fletcher held progressive positions at Cerner in sales, as a consultant, and as an analyst. Through these roles, Mr. Fletcher assisted various large health systems in training healthcare staff in the adoption of electronic medical record systems. B.E. Smith clients value Mr. Fletcher’s empathetic approach to understanding their specific leadership challenges, as well as his consultative insights regarding interim leadership and executive search solutions.
