Summary
Hendrick Health, a not-for-profit health system located in Abilene, Texas and affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, is conducting a nationwide search for a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The CAO is a newly created system-level role responsible for the overall administrative operations of Hendrick Health’s Employed Physician Group. As Hendrick Health continues to grow and evolve to meet the healthcare needs of the region, the organization needs more standardized infrastructure and processes across the system, including the physician enterprise – the CAO will be accountable for the growth, operations, and financial results of the physician enterprise. This executive will be an established leader who can create and maintain an environment where the mission, vision and values of the organization can be fulfilled by satisfied and enthusiastic physician leaders, ancillary professionals and support service professionals providing personalized, high quality, customer care and service. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and in a dyad relationship with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the CAO will serve as a trusted thought partner to and a representative of the physicians directly employed by Hendrick Health.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in healthcare related field or business
- Experience within a complex health system preferred
- Multi-site experience
- Demonstrated effective competence with Employed Physician Compensation Model
- Experience with Service Line integration
Headquartered in Abilene, Texas, Hendrick Health is a healthcare system owned and directed by a local, volunteer board since its founding in 1924 as a not-for-profit hospital in response to a community need for quality healthcare.
