Make a cultural impact and improve patient care as the new System Chief Nursing Officer for University of New Mexico Hospitals

The Position
  • The System Chief Nursing Officer provides clinical oversight of the administration, management and leadership of the inpatient and clinical programs and services within University of New Mexico Hospitals (527 licensed beds); University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital, including a 20 bed pediatric ER and ICU, a 34-bed pediatric acute care unit, a 20-bed pediatric oncology unit, a pediatric surgery suite and four OR suites; and Carrie Tingley Hospital (24 staffed beds), and in support of the UNM Health System and UNM Health Sciences Center
  • Develops and oversees protocol and process for care quality, effectiveness and efficiency in a manner that supports financial viability and ensures the provision of high quality patient care
  • Establishes and maintains a patient-centered environment while building partnerships with the senior leadership team, medical staff and throughout the community
  • Requires a Master’s degree in related discipline and at least 10 years of progressive administrative experience
