Summary

AdventHealth, an Orlando-based and globally recognized healthcare organization, is seeking their next Director of Sponsored Programs in Orlando, Florida! 


The Position

  • The Director of Sponsored Programs will be responsible for the overall direction and oversight of multiple teams throughout the organization and will ensure integrity, compliance, and growth across all sponsored programs functioning within AdventHealth.  
  • Reporting to the Executive Director of Research Services, the Director of Sponsored Programs will oversee a total of approximately 4 direct reports. This individual will be working with research institute of 350 FTEs and will collaborate closely with the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance to ensure that the organization is properly aligned with local, state, and federal compliance regulations. 
  • This leader will be responsible for the overall improvement and expansion in contracts, budgets, grants, and CTMS application throughout external markets and will collaborate closely with the System Site Manager and Executive Director to develop and analyze new growth strategies to ensure that the organization may achieve optimal growth. 
  • The Director will be responsible for the oversight of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and will instill accountability as it pertains to grants, contracts, timely execution, study clearance, and clinical trial aggreements and budgets. 
  • Seeking a visionary leader who will be able to effectively drive collaboration and communication to ensure strong relationships with physicians, employee engagement, and accountability throughout the department. In addition, the Director will work closely with Human Resource executives to effectively manage work teams, work plans for direct reports, and task delegations.  
  • The Director will closely monitor and report on program metrics and will seek to maximize performance and utilization of tracking tools, scorecards, and progress progression.  
  • This leader will serve as the Hospital’s authorized Organization Representative (AOR) and Signing Official (SO) and will be responsible for the obligation of legally binding AdventHealth in grants and administration matters both internally and externally. 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in healthcare, business, finance, legal, accounting, research, or administrative-related specialty is required. 
  • A minimum of 5+ years of related leadership experience within an acute-care setting is required.  
  • Healthcare experience is required.
