The Position

• The Director of Behavioral Health - Clinical will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes and will oversee the overall clinical functions throughout the Behavioral Health Wellness Clinic providing telehealth services for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.  
• The Director will oversee all clinical and administrative operations throughout the clinic and will focus on key initiatives including recruitment, retention, mentoring, coaching, and supervision of staff members in addition to monitoring key metrics and quality initiatives to ensure optimal patient care.  
• Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director of Behavioral Health will oversee approximately 4+ direct reports and will deliver both written and oral reports to tribal stakeholders, system directors, and board members to ensure that the current initiatives throughout the clinic are in alignment with short-and-long-term organizational goals. 
• The Director must be willing to provide hands-on leadership while assisting staff members with the delivery of behavioral health screenings, therapy services, and psychological testing and assessments when necessary. 
• Seeking a mission-driven candidate who will be able to innovatively create pathways to allow the organization to achieve both short- and long-term goals, while furthering the overall growth and improvement of Behavioral Health functions throughout the organization. 
• Candidates will ideally bring knowledge pertaining to program development as it pertains to behavioral health functions within a telehealth environment and must be familiar with supporting both remote and hybrid work functions. 

Requirements

• A Ph.D. and/or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is strongly preferred.  
• Licensed Independent Social Work (LISW) is strongly preferred. 
• Experience within a Tribal healthcare setting is strongly preferred. 
• Healthcare experience is required.

• Anchorage, Alaska, rests on the Cook Inlet, bordered by six mountain ranges and warmed by a maritime climate to provide year-round adventure and recreation.
