Summary

CEO opportunity for a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in Minnesota!


Position: 

In the position as Chief Executive Officer, the CEO will faithfully and diligently assume overall operational, financial, and strategic oversight for AAH and perform such responsibilities as may be assigned to him/her from time to time by the Board of Directors of AAH (the “Board”); report solely to the Board; maintain his/her Nursing Home Administrator’s license and any other necessary licensures to carry out his/her duties from time to time, including without limitation policies relating to business ethics, patient care, conflicts of interest, non-discrimination, and confidentiality, devote his/her full business time, energy and skill to AAH’s business, as is reasonably necessary to execute fully his/her duties and promote AAH’s best interest. The principle place of employment and the location of AAH principle’s office and normal place of work shall be in the location of Appleton, Minnesota. The CEO will be expected to travel to other locations under his/her authority, as necessary, in the performance of his/her duties during the term of the Agreement.

Appleton Area Health Services consists of an independent 15-bed Critical Access Hospital, Clinic, Care Center, and Apple Ridge Estates Assisted and Independent Living facility. The hospital offers a broad spectrum of services which include Emergency Services, Acute In-patient Care, Out-patient Services, Observation Services, Swing Bed Care, Respite Care, General Surgery, and Outreach Services which include Orthopedic, Cardiology, Oncology & Chemotherapy, Urology, Podiatry, ENT, Audiology, Interventional Radiology (Pain Injections), Infectious Disease, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Behavioral Health. The Clinic provides Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, and Specialty Care services. The 50-bed care center provides 24-hour quality nursing care to residents. Lastly, Apple Ridge Estates Assisted and Independent Living facility is dedicated to creating a safe, home-like atmosphere while promoting independence.


Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree and an advance degree (MHA or MBA) are required. Master’s degree ideally in business, hospital administration or public health.
  • Minimum five years’ experience as CEO within an acute care hospital setting, with strong emphasis in ambulatory/outpatient services, ideally worked within a critical access environment.
  • Proven track record of recruitment of physicians.
  • Proven track record of developing strategic plan focused on market growth and enhancement of services
  • Leadership style that inspires people and garners trust, high integrity.
