The Position

  • The Chief Operating Officer provides key leadership in guiding the strategic, operational and clinical performance of Memorial Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Ashland, Wisconsin
  • Serve as the senior patient care executive, ensuring the delivery of nursing best practices, high quality care and overall community healthcare needs
  • The COO provides mentoring, continuing education and professional development opportunities to staff and leaders within Memorial Medical Center
  • Collaborate with leaders from the governing body, medical staff, and other senior managers in development and maintenance of the hospital’s mission, goals and long-term plans
  • Must have significant experience managing operations, strategic direction and clinical demands of a community hospital setting
  • MSN or Master’s degree required

  • Memorial Medical Center (MMC) is a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital with 60+ full-time physicians on staff and more than 500 employees

  • Located in the city of Ashland, MMC serves as a regional medical referral center for patients from seven northwestern Wisconsin counties, nearby Gogebic County of Michigan plus two Native tribes (Bad River and Red Cliff)
