Executive Vice Chairperson (EVC) for the Department of Medicine
AMN Healthcare has been exclusively retained by the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to lead a national search for a new Executive Vice Chairperson (EVC) for the Department of Medicine.
The Department of Medicine (DOM) at the University of Colorado is world-renowned for excellence in all academic domains. Reporting to Vineet Chopra, MD, MSc, the Robert W. Schrier Chair of Medicine at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, the EVC will help craft and execute the strategic, clinical, operational and academic priorities and acts as a key liaison with internal and external partners. The EVC provides executive oversight of the core Department of Medicine missions, overseeing the development, implementation and sustainment of the Department of Medicine positions, priorities, and programs. Responsibilities for the new Executive Vice Chair include assisting with key recruitments for Division and Department leadership positions; the development and maintenance of efficient and effective clinical operations within the DOM and with University of Colorado Hospital Partners; the development, implementation and management of the departmental strategic plan that ensures consistent growth and success across all missions; support departmental leaders to strengthen current programs and develop new programs to achieve the DOM vision and goals. The EVC will also provide management of the DOM Vice Chairs and provide oversight of their programs.

The most compelling candidates for Executive Vice Chair will have:
- Significant academic, clinical, and administrative experience in a university health science center or comparable organization, preferably at the rank of professor or associate professor;
- Experience as an outstanding educator with distinguished clinical or research accolades;
- MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent, along with Board Certification in an internal medicine specialty.
