Summary

Become the new Chief Financial Officer of Austin’s best nonprofit Hospice and Palliative Care Center

 

The Position

  • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading, organizing, and developing the billing department for the organization. 
  • The CFO will be an integral part of the organization in educating the leaders on financials during fiscal, board, and committee meetings. 
  • The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of financial accounting, generally accepted accounting principles and reporting.
  • Seeking an experienced, hands-on leader with significant financial background to build relationships within the organization. 

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 5 or more years’ experience in hospice and non-profit organizations.
  • CPA required.
  • Hospice/hospital contracting experience required.
  • Supervisory/management experience required.

  • As the first hospice in Central Texas, they have end-of-life care expertise that only decades of experience can teach. And as Austin’s only nonprofit hospice, the provide care to any person who needs them, regardless of age, diagnosis, or ability to pay. 
  • The Austin Palliative Care team is comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and social workers who have received expert training in the care and management of people dealing with serious illness.
  • Palliative Care supports patients and families by collaborating with the patient, family, and the patient’s health care team to provide relief from a host of symptoms that many people with serious illness experience, including pain. This care is provided in addition to any curative or disease-directed treatments to help patients live better.
  • Hospice Austin has been voted Best Hospice in the Austin American-Statesman’s Best of the Best Awards since 2019.
