The Position

  • As the new Director of Respiratory Therapy, you would be responsible for the oversight of MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital by coordinating department efforts with ancillary and nursing services to provide excellent patient experience and quality care. 
  • This position will report to the Chief Nursing while managing up to 100 FTEs between both locations with 3 direct reports that include the Administrative Assistant and 2 managers. 
  • The Director will focus on helping with the continuing integration of the two hospitals into one cohesive department, recruitment and retention, and ensuring policies and procedures are aligning with the system. 
  • Additional oversight includes developing and implementing goals and objectives for the departments to ensure compliance in building the competences of the workforce. 
  • Seeking a strong, collaborative leader who is a content expert in pulmonary and respiratory care with 5+ years of experience.
