The Location:
Bangor has a lot to offer. Its historic downtown is full of shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The restored Bangor waterfront has been transformed into a major regional event center offering popular outdoor throughout the summer and fall. In winter we have ski resorts and snowmobile trails just a short drive out of the city. The city’s rich lumber history can be enjoyed on almost every street. The industry allowed local ‘lumber barons’ to build grand brick and wood mansions throughout the city. The Bangor Historical Society can show you a number of them on its city tours. The Bangor region offers something for everyone. To learn more about it, visit the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce website.
