Oversee a high end lab as Director, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services for one of Boston’s premiere academic medical centers, Tufts Medical Center

The Position
  • Areas of responsibility for the Director, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services include: Hematology, Blood Bank, HLA, Central Receiving, Lab Support, Cytogenetics, Chemistry, Biorepository, Histology, Cytology and Anatomic Pathology
  • Oversight to 200 employees consisting of laboratory staff, supervisors and managers
  • This position ensures the lab meets compliance and regulatory requirements, manages budgetary planning, monitors operational activities, participates in rounds and makes a point to actively engage employees
  • Participates in executive planning centered on system integration, relationship building and expanding laboratory services; expect to work with both the hospital and the physician's organization
  • The Director should have 5+ years' experience as a senior manager or director of highly complex laboratory in an academic medical center
  • Credentials or experience as a Medical Technologist, clinical laboratory scientist, NCA, ASCP or other lab professional certification and a Bachelor's degree are required, Master's preferred
