Montefiore Medical Center, located in diverse New York City is searching for a Critical Care Director to join their organization!
The Position
- The Critical Care Director is responsible for the overall management of activities within the Critical Care department at the Einstein campus, ensuring that quality, compassionate, culturally competent, effective and efficient patient care is delivered.
- Reporting to the Senior Director of Nursing Emergency Department and Critical Care, this leader will oversee a team of six direct reports.
- This leader will work to improve quality metrics, helping the department improve patient experience across the board. This leader will also assist in helping the organization reach its Magnet status.
- Other projects include figuring out solutions to staffing challenges and re-launching the Cardiac Surgery Program, by building a team and providing training to staff.
- Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, team building and interpersonal skills. Must be capable of leading different generations of nurses. The ability to adapt quicky and embrace change will be critical.
Requirements
- MSN required.
- Active NY RN license required.
- Must possess a minimum of seven years’ experience working in a clinical environment, and at least five years’ experience in a managerial role.
- Previous Director level experience working in cardiac surgery required; experience running multiple units preferred.
