The Position

  • The Senior Manager, Perioperative Services provides leadership and expertise for operations, process change and performance related to the surgical service line
  • Scope of the role spans two campuses with total oversight encompassing 11 ORs, Sterile Processing, pain management and pre/post-op care
  • Top goals for the Senior Manager include: 1) create & maintain relationships with periop staff and physicians, 2) improve clinical practice & knowledge through mentoring, program development and education, 3) standardize processes and performance expectations for both sites, and 4) establish structure to uphold clinical best practices throughout the department
  • Under the mentorship and leadership of executive leaders and seasoned surgeons, the Senior Manager will address key metric areas including throughput, physician satisfaction, staff competency, blocking, and on-time starts
  • Ideal candidate is a visible OR leader with the desire to grow in their career and adopt new specialty areas, namely an open heart program
  • Previous experience overseeing a perioperative department and BSN degree are required
  • Must possess or obtain CNOR certification
