System Chief of Gastroenterology
TriHealth has engaged AMN Healthcare to lead a national recruitment for the next System Chief of Gastroenterology (SCGI). This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking collaborative healthcare leader to function as an integral leader of a nationally recognized integrated health system that is dedicated to its vision of improving the health of the people they serve.
Reporting jointly to the Chief Medical Officer, and the President of TriHealth Physician Practices, the TriHealth System Chief of Gastroenterology (SCGI) is responsible for providing oversight and management of the system-wide clinical Department and its members within all ambulatory, hospital outpatient, hospital inpatient, and post-acute care sites owned or operated by TriHealth. Additionally, the SDGI is accountable for the clinical safety, quality, service, and efficiency provided by members of the Department within all operating units and programs in which members of the Department practice.
TriHealth is a full-service, not-for-profit integrated health care system that provides a wide range of clinical, educational, preventive, and social programs through its 6 hospitals and now more than 140 sites of care. TriHealth is the Cincinnati region’s only nationally recognized integrated health system.
TriHealth has been recognized as a “Top 100 Integrated” Health System for more than a decade and designated a “Top 15 Health System” by Truven Health Analytics. TriHealth was also named as one of Becker's “52 Great Health Systems to Know” and IBM Watson Health’s top performers based on clinical, financial, and operational metrics.
The Physician Partners in Gastroenterology currently includes 9 employed physicians with plans to recruit. The group operates from 7 endoscopy sites with 80% of the volume occurring at 3 primary sites. Office visits are annualized at 22,159 for this fiscal year with approximately 3,000 procedures monthly and an annual revenue of $18.8 million (excluding endoscopy center revenue). TriHealth has the largest primary care network in Cincinnati as well as a large outpatient cancer program, providing a sizeable referral base and opportunities for collaboration.
