The Position

  • The Director of Nursing- Ambulatory, reporting to the ACNO, will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality, culturally sensitive nursing and patient care within MetroHealth’s Federally Qualified Health Clinics and Primary Care.
  • Top goals for this Director include immersing oneself in the community, working closely with local non-profit organizations and food banks, as well as being an advocate for diversity and inclusion internally and externally. 
  • The Director will need to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and a commitment to the mentorship and support of all team members. 
  • This Director will collaborate with DON’s, Physicians and the ACNO on the development of Nursing strategies, long and short-term goals, and projects in other clinical areas as requested. 
  • Fosters principles of teamwork and mentorship with all organizational levels in the resolution, completion and follow-up of various responsibilities and projects.  
  • Magnet recognized certification in clinical specialty or in nursing administration required. 
  • Master’s degree in a health-related field required.
