Physician Executive of the Neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) Service Line
MetroHealth seeks a nationally respected, dynamic Board-Certified Physician leader as the new Physician Executive of the Neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) Service Line.
The Physician Executive of the NMSK Service Line will be responsible for the development of strategy and identification, implementation, and execution of tactics resulting in service line development and growth, patient access, value and quality throughout the MetroHealth System. The scope of NMSK includes over 110 clinicians, over 25 residents and fellows and over 200,000 patient visits and 6700 surgeries annually in the areas of Neurology, Neurological Critical Care, Neurosurgery, the Pain and Healing Center, Orthopedics, Spine Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy and Podiatry. The service line boasts the state’s top ranked Rehabilitation Institute.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified candidates will be Board Certified in one of the above outlined clinical areas and eligible for an Ohio license, have a distinguished record of clinical and leadership experience and skill in managing and carrying out initiatives in a mission oriented and matrixed organizational environment. The candidate must be qualified for a faculty appointment with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and be currently at an Associate Professor or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with at least 2 years of experience leading a clinical enterprise, including budget preparation and management. An advanced degree, MBA/ MPH is preferred. Progressive management experience in multispecialty group practice environments, especially in academic health care is preferred.
- Medical Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Neurology, Neurological Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Spine Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy or Podiatry
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio license as Physician
- Eligible for faculty appointment at an Associate Professor or Professor rank with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
