The Position

  • The Senior Director of Infection Prevention, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership and Medical Directors will provide strategic direction and oversight of all infection control programs across multiple campus locations within Children's Health System of Texas (CHST).
  • The Senior Director will develop, build and organize system-wide structure within the Infection Prevention department with the use of proven leadership tactics.
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, the Senior Director will be supported by a team of directors and managers across both campus locations.
  • The Senior Director will be responsible for developing, revising, and maintaining all system wide Infection Prevention policies and procedures utilizing The Joint Commission standards. 
  • The ideal candidate will be an influential leader capable of driving vision. This candidate will demonstrate collaborative leadership, excellent presentation skills at an executive level, and servant leadership in helping to elevate all team members skills/building our strategic leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree and certification in Infection Control required. Executive nursing background preferred.
