Henry Ford Health has engaged AMN Healthcare to conduct a national search for their next Chair of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery; responsible for the clinical, educational and research activities of a clinically busy and robust department that also includes Audiology, OMFS and General Dentistry.

This is an exciting opportunity to operate as a visionary leader in a complex patient-centered, academic environment providing executive leadership over the rapid growth and expansion of Otolaryngology at Henry Ford Health, serving patients at 5 hospitals and 8 outpatient sites, along with leadership over the clinical, educational and research activities of the department, including the Division of Audiology, Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Section of General Dentistry. An academic appointment will be provided through Michigan State University or Wayne State University. 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO of the Henry Ford Medical Group/Chief Academic Officer of Henry Ford Health system, the new Chair will have the opportunity to lead a nationally recognized and growing Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery overseeing strategic growth and expansion, quality initiatives, value-based care and academic activity for a clinically busy Department that includes 26 Otolaryngologists and 23 Audiologists, along with a strong complement of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, General Hospital Dentists, Advanced Practice Providers, Residents and Fellows.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a compelling leader with the reputation, influence, and leadership gravitas to enhance innovation and collaboration in a multidisciplinary Otolaryngology Department, while promoting the highest standards of clinical outcomes in a complex health environment. Successful Chair candidates will be recognized as outstanding clinically active leaders in Otolaryngology surgery and will be passionate about promoting discovery and scholarly activity. M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in Otolaryngology surgery is required.
