Hardin Memorial Hospital needs a fresh set of eyes to guide strategic growth and improve perioperative processes as the next AVP of Patient Care Services

The Position
  • AVP of Patient Care Services is responsible for 225 employees and more than 20 ORs within the main hospital campus, an outpatient care facility, and an ambulatory surgery center; departmental oversight includes Endoscopy, Operating Room, Pre/Post-Op, Same Day, Anesthesia, Sterile Processing and Recovery 
  • The AVP of Patient Care Services serves as a fresh perspective to standardize physician processes, explore new opportunities and balance the needs for immediate changes versus progressive changes
  • Top goals include distribution of surgical procedures to outpatient facility, prioritization of block scheduling, improving on-time starts and utilization, succession planning and aligning Anesthesia services with the demands of the hospital
  • AVP of Patient Care will be a hands-on, visible leader with confidence and strong communication skills to negotiate contracts, deliver tough calls, and guide strategic growth in the interest of both patients and the organization
  • This is a perioperative-focused position so surgically experienced nurse leaders are preferred; BSN plus additional Master’s required
