President, Centura Health Physician Group
Centura Health (Centura), the Rocky Mountain and Central Plains region’s health care leader, seeks to partner with a highly collaborative and transformational leader as the President, Centura Health Physicians Group (CHPG), based in one of the most desirable places to live in the nation, Denver, Colorado. Reporting to the Group Operating President of Physician Alignment, the President, Centura Health Physician Group will lead the employed physicians and providers and all administrative and operational functions supporting the group. In full support of the Centura Health’s Mission, Vision and Values, the President, CHPG will foster, advocate and support the evolution of Centura Health and the creation of sustainable, distinctively competent organizations that measurably improve the health of the individuals and the communities Centura Health serves.
The President will direct, manage, and promote the administrative and operational functions of Centura Health Physician Group in conjunction with the Management team, Clinic Directors and Practice Managers. The President maintains broad accountability for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of CHPG, with responsibility for all administrative functions of CHPG, including strategic and business planning and development, operations, finance, physician compensation and performance improvement. In this capacity, the President also advises and educates the leadership team on the strategic, business development, operational, and financial impact of CHPG activities, and advocates for resource allocation for CHPG.
The President will lead a team of 2700 professionals including more than 900 employed physicians and advanced practice clinicians and direct reporting staff of 7. The staff supports practice management, medical group operations and population health.
The President, CHPG will report directly to the health system Group President, Physician Alignment, Dr. Scott Lichtenberger. Dr. Lichtenberger leads independent physician group relationships, Centura Health Physician Group and Colorado Health Neighborhoods network. Dr. Lichtenberger is a transformative physician leader who has been with Centura since January 2020. He has exceptional experience with McKinsey as a Partner within the Healthcare practice.

- Candidates with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited school of medicine and Board Certification in discipline will be considered.
- If not an MD or DO, a Master's degree in Business, Health Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- Physicians and Non-physician executives with prior experience leading large, complex, multi-specialty group practices will be required.
- Senior management experience gained in a multi-specialty group preferably within in a large complex healthcare delivery system.
- Experience within a highly competitive/mature market with transformational leadership on how care is provided through different payment methods.
