Opportunity to build Augusta Health’s Outpatient Surgery Center from the ground up as its new Director

The Position

  • The Director will oversee clinical operations and the day-to-day functions of the newly-constructed Augusta Health Outpatient Pavilion Surgery Center that is located on Augusta Health’s main campus and has plans to open in 2022. The Surgery Center’s offerings include operating room, central processing, anesthesia, prep and recovery, and endoscopy.
  • Reporting to the Administrative Director, the Director is a key member of the surgical services nursing leadership team and will serve as an active member on organizational committees.
  • Seeking an innovative and forward-thinking leader to partner with key stakeholders to create the Surgery Center’s policies, programs, services, and staffing models that are rooted in best practices, align with organizational priorities, and prepare the center for future success and growth.
  • Additional responsibility areas include regulatory compliance, all staffing functions, continuous performance improvement, and materials management.
  • Must bring 3+ years of surgical services management experience. Experience in an outpatient surgery or within an ambulatory surgery center is highly preferred.
  • BSN and active RN license required. Master’s degree preferred.
