The Position 

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic, and operational leadership for the organization’s operations, facilities, and safety functions with sound fiscal practice. 
  • Seeking a genuine, decisive leader who can effectively collaborate across the organization to exceed goals of providing excellence in care to the community, as well as a supportive, empowering environment and culture to Eagle’s 350 FTEs. 
  • The COO will participate in committees including, the Board, Executive Committee, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Provider Champions, EMR Steering, Chairpersons Quality Council and Site Administrators. 
  • Additional leadership areas include quality, and metrics orientation, experienced in using, developing, and implementing benchmarks, and other tools that improve operating, financial, and service performance. 
  • Must bring a minimum of 3 years COO experience or a minimum of 5 years as senior-level practice administrator/executive with outpatient medical group of 20 or more physicians. Wide scope of health care knowledge and experience in quality management, change management, or outcomes management will be critical. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or MHA preferred. and 8+ years’ experience as a COO strongly preferred. FACHE, FACMPE or CMPE certification preferred.

  • Eagle Physicians is a physician-owned and physician-led multi-specialty medical group, governed by a physician Board of Directors, and is part of Triad Healthcare Network with Cone Health, the area's ACO.

  • Less than an hour and a half from each, Greensboro is situated nicely between two other major North Carolina cities: Charlotte, and Raleigh.
