Chief Financial Officer
Providence Medical Center seeks a seasoned financial leader to join the organization as the Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer carries out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board consisted with the philosophy and practices of the Hospital. Responsible for planning, organizing and influencing department activities and assuring financial records of the Hospital are maintained following generally accepted accounting standards.

Providence is affiliated with Prime Healthcare and with Saint John Hospital, located in Leavenworth, Kansas. Staff along with about 200 devoted volunteers help serve the health needs of Wyandotte, Leavenworth and northern Johnson counties and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven to ten years’ accounting/finance experience within a healthcare institution including high-level leadership of the accounting function at a VP, Controller or CFO level for five or more years. Candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on revenue cycle management and expense control as well as extensive knowledge of financial and accounting practices and principles including management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations as well as knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations. An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required with a Master’s degree preferred as is a Certified Public Accountability (CPA) license or Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.
