New executive leadership opportunity as Chief Medical Information Officer with HealthQuest in Lagrangeville, New York – located midway between Albany and New York City

  • The PositionThe Chief Medical Information Officer is responsible for designing the vision, with the assistance of other key physicians leaders, as well as assist in the implementation of standardized physician workflow/clinical content and physician communication of the acute care services within the organization
  • This position has indirect supervisory responsibilities managing staff that are accountable for the development of a standardized vision and assist in the implementation of physician and other clinical workflows related to physician-related clinical transformation/system implementation and maintenance projects
  • As a vital member of the IT Medical Exec Committee, the CMIO represents the needs and requirements of the physician community and serves as an advocate of management in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting
  • Key goals include establishing collaborative relationships with Western Connecticut, optimizing the IT Medical Exec Committee by engaging members and revamping content, and developing an effective communication model with physicians
  • A minimum of an MD/DO degree and one year of work experience in medical informatics is required

  • The Organization HealthQuest is a local family of nonprofit hospitals and healthcare providers in the Mid-Hudson Valley and northwestern Connecticut
  • HealthQuest was formed through an affiliation of four hospitals – Northern Dutchess Hospital Center, Putnam Hospital Center, Sharon Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center
  • In addition to four award-winning hospitals, the organization encompasses multiple primary care and specialty care locations, two Urgent Care locations and affiliates including the Thompson House, a 100-bed skilled nursing facility, HealthQuest Home Care and The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology services in the region
  • The current merger of HealthQuest and Western Connecticut Health Network, two healthcare systems serving the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut markets, will create a system will create a system of seven hospitals and will be in full effect in February 2019
