New Director Opportunity Located Near Some of America’s Top Beaches in the Texas Gulf Coast


The Position

  • The Director, Emergency Department and Critical Care provides clinical and administrative leadership for the hospital’s Emergency, Critical Care, and Respiratory departments with oversight for 70+ FTEs.
  • The Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer/VP of Patient Care Services and has the exciting opportunity to build teams and grow the service line.
  • Seeking a leader with demonstrated success driving optimal quality outcomes, including around patient flow and throughput, to implement best practices and empower teams around delivering high quality patient care. 
  • Additional responsibility areas for the departments include fiscal management, regulatory compliance, quality/performance improvement initiatives, and staffing functions.
  • Must bring 3+ years of clinical experience and 5+ years of management experience at the Manager-level or above.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) required. Must have active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or work towards obtaining.  
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and comprehensive treatment services, the hospital is home to a 154-bed patient tower, Level III trauma center, advanced cardiac care center, and full-service, multidisciplinary cancer center.

  • As a Level III trauma center—the highest-level emergency room in the area—the Mike and Leslie Lowrey Emergency Services Pavilion equips the hospital to provide the expert care patients need. Totaling close to 15,000 square feet, the new facility dramatically increases the hospital’s ability to effectively treat between 30,000 and 45,000 patients annually.
