The Position

  • The Senior Director is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and personnel activities for Oncology Services.
  • The Senior Director will demonstrate a spirit of “big picture thinking”, working to enhance business market concepts as well as the 6 surrounding facilities as a whole and creating a strategy to support the Wisconsin market and beyond. 
  • This individual will be instrumental in identifying, developing, and implementing operational, tactical, and strategic initiatives to advance the mission of UW Health/UW Carbone Cancer Center Oncology Services across the system of. 
  • Engages staff and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of systems and processes as well as manages resources for staff participation in improvement work activities.  
  • This leader will be a programmatic builder. He/She will help construct out the set for expansive projects such as a large care model re-design project that is currently in progress. 
  • Through the process of expanding to a new 470,000 sqft campus with state-of-the-art radiation oncology practices, new clinical research and patient suites, the Senior Director will demonstrate the ability to triage as well as strategically process through the enhancement of oncology patient and at-home care. 
  • Seeking an innovative and strategic administrative leader to identify key programs for growth based on the current market and work to enhance how the organization delivers cancer care as a whole.
  • Ideal candidates will bring a comprehensive understanding of business market concepts and previous experience as it pertains to strategic program development. 


  • Must bring 7 years of progressively responsible management or supervisory level experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, health administration or a health profession required.
  • Academic NCI preferred.
