The Position
  • The Vice President, Oncology and Digestive Health Services serves as the driving force behind service line integration, market growth and operational improvement for the Oncology and Digestive Health service lines
  • Oversee multiple units including Cancer Registry, Radiation Oncology, Genetic Counseling, Navigators, Cyber-Knife and Digestive Health
  • The Vice President is a goal-oriented leader, focused on delivering high quality outcomes and profitability 
  • Manage 5-8 senior leaders who will oversee day-to-day operations of the service lines, while you provide guidance regarding high-level strategy, finances and business development opportunities
  • The VP should be collaborative and communicative to ensure strong patient, employee and physician satisfaction
  • Requires 10+ years’ of experience in healthcare operations leading multiple departments through strategy and process changes
  • Must have at least five years of experience in oncology care with an acute care facility or physician group; digestive health background is a plus
  • Minimum Master’s degree required

The Organization
  • The VP, Oncology and Digestive Health Services will work primarily out of the WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia
  • This 633-bed community hospital continually earns its distinction as a "Top 100" hospital with ongoing investment in new technologies like Georgia’s first CyberKnife®, TomoTherapy® and da Vinci® robotic surgical systems.
  • As part of WellStar Health System, the Kennestone facility is only one of 11 hospitals and more than a half dozen oncology clinics
  • WellStar Kennestone Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center
