Seeking a visionary leader to serve as the new Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Performance over multiple locations, ensuring robust supply chain resilience with Allina Health!

The Position

• The Vice President (VP) will oversee all non-labor spending and capital contracting, spearheading the development of a comprehensive supply chain resilience program. This program will ensure the reliability and accessibility of products and services while providing executive leadership to the sourcing infrastructure.
• The VP will drive increased purchasing value, standardization, automation, optimization, and risk mitigation, thereby enhancing service levels. This role entails crafting strategies for sourcing, value management, and nurturing customer and supplier relationships.
• Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management, this leader will manage a team of five direct reports and approximately sixteen FTEs.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership by prioritizing the implementation of a category management strategy encompassing procurement prospect identification, product standardization, environmental and social considerations, supplier diversity, and fostering stronger supplier partnerships.
• Collaborating seamlessly with key departments such as Finance, Safety and Quality, and Service Lines, the VP will establish pivotal value metrics. Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to cultivate robust relationships with physicians and other vital stakeholders are essential qualities for the ideal candidate.
• Demonstrated experience in building highly functional Supply Chain Leadership Teams within a systemic environment is preferred. Seeking highly skilled, experienced leaders with a proven track record in resilience-focused environments to elevate our organization to new heights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of seven years’ leadership experience, coupled with expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and procurement tools.
• A proven track record of ten years in progressively responsible contracting management role, in combination with strategic planning, purchasing, operations and analytics; designing and oversight of category management for an organization with an annual non-labor spend of at least $1 billion. required.
• Over fifteen years of hands-on procurement and supply chain experience required.
• Experience in lean management and applied change management principles preferred.
