Summary

An Oklahoma healthcare organization is seeking their next Interim Physician Executive! 

The Position

• The Interim Physician Executive will be responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations pertaining to genetics labs, newborn screenings, and clinic enterprise within the facility.   
• The Interim Section Chief will oversee approximately 2+ FTEs and will focus on ongoing departmental initiatives pertaining to genetics including ambulatory/outpatient services, revisions of leadership structures, and departmental structures. 
• This leader must strive to create and foster positive working relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, and genetics counselors by providing approachable leadership and encouraging strong communication and collaboration throughout the department. 
• Ideal leaders will bring previous EPIC experience to ensure that genetics tests are ordered properly, and within currently implemented guidelines. 
• This leader will analyze and revise currently implemented policies while ensuring that departmental structures and operations are in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.  
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. 

Requirements

• MD/DO is strongly preferred. 
• Previous outpatient medicine and/or ambulatory medicine background is required. 
• Previous experience pertaining to pediatric genetics is strongly preferred.
