Bring your expertise to the “City of Brotherly Love” and serve as the AVP Bone Marrow Transplant at Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of the Temple University Health System.
The Position
- The AVP Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) will be responsible for the operational and strategic planning of the BMT department and program, working alongside the department chair and SVP of the Fox Chase Cancer Center.
- Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader will have up to six direct reports and work closely with a peer group of 12 other department leaders.
- The AVP will be responsible for developing payor strategies, designing and implementing capacity management plans, and working to develop a strategic plan for the program that will drive growth for the department.
- The ideal candidate will have ample experience working in a relevant field, be technically/data savvy, and have great communication skills.
- The AVP will also be responsible for continued implementation of best practices, achieving financial goals, and driving further integration of Fox Chase Cancer Center into the Temple University Health System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business-related field required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory position, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory positions in a bone marrow transplant, oncology, hematology and/or transplant program.

Temple Health also includes the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
- The Fox Chase-Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program has been recognized for better-than-expected outcomes, the only adult center in the tristate area and one of 17 nationally to achieve this distinction.
- The Nursing Department at Fox Chase Cancer has held Magnet® designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2000, when it became the first hospital in Pennsylvania to earn it. This is the fifth consecutive designation for Fox Chase. Less than 10 percent of hospitals nationwide have attained this designation.
The Community
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s largest city, is home to a number of historical sites such as Independence National Historic Park, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell, all related to the founding of the United States.
- The city is full of museums, music, and an abundance of food options; not to mention, a storied professional sports scene that includes the 76ers, the Phillies, the Eagles, and the Flyers.
- Higher education is important in Philadelphia, being one of the founding members of the Association of American Universities, and housing the University of Pennsylvania (arguably the oldest university in the country).
