The Position

  • The Director of Care Management is responsible for the development, management, and review of Care Management within Mercy Hospital.
  • This position reports to the Vice President of Mission Integration, while overseeing care coordination, clinical denials management, utilization review programs, clinical documentation improvement, and Stewardship of Resource Consumption.  
  • The Director will focus on communication and administration cases referred to the Quality Improvement Organization on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to ensure compliance with regulations.  
  • Participate in all system care management and improvement efforts ensuring compliance with State, Federal, CMS and Payer requirements.
  • Seeking a strong, collaborative leader with care management experience. 
  • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical or healthcare administration in jobs of progressively more responsible duties to include supervisory/management functions. 2-3 years minimum experience in a hospital case management role required.
  • BSN required.
