Oversee the move to a brand new ASC and manage operational changes when you become the Director Surgical Services with one of Maine's largest employers


The Position

  • The Director Surgical Services will manage 12 ORs across two facilities and oversee the gradual transition of surgical services to a newly constructed hospital, while simultaneously guiding development of new ambulatory site
  • The Director should focus on developing leaders, strengthening employee satisfaction, correcting unprofessional behaviors and building strong relationships with nursing staff and physicians
  • Commit to understanding current workflows and implement a plan to improve efficiency, better manage block scheduling and recruit new surgical staff
  • Must have an Operating Room nursing leadership background
  • Minimum BSN required, Master’s strongly preferred

  • Northern Light Mercy Hospital encompasses two campuses with a combined bed-count of 230 beds, providing a mix of medical, surgical, and outpatient services
