Summary

Critical Access Hospital seeks Director of Human Resources with a passion for serving employees and patients


The Position

  • The new Director of Human Resources will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources staff while planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating the organizations policies while reporting to President/CEO of Gifford.
  • The Director will ensure the legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategies and managing of team of four. 
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development 
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. 
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. 
  • Focusing on building and establishing relationships within the hospital while training and supporting current and emerging leaders as well as continuing to drive & maintain a new compensation program within the organization.  
  • Seeking a candidate with at least five years of Human Resources experience. Experience in health care human resources and SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
