The Position
  • The Associate Vice President plans, directs and oversees the operational and budgetary activities for Facilities Management which includes Construction and Project Management, Design and Engineering, Maintenance and Operations, and Housekeeping
  • This position provides institutional leadership for the development, advancement and operations of the institution’s physical facilities while making effective use of budgets, personnel and other resources in support of the institution’s mission, vision and values
  • The AVP has the opportunity to develop and manage capital projects for renovations and new installations, make recommendations for facility improvement priorities, foster a positive culture throughout the team and enhance employee engagement
  • Initial focus will be to establish credibility and build collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization, including deans, faculty, the executive leadership team and Facilities staff
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in facilities management and leadership including at least five years of experience managing multi-million dollar construction projects and managing multiple facility location
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a closely related field required, Master’s degree preferred
