The Position

  • The Assistant General Counsel-Health Affairs provides full-scope legal and strategic counsel for the medical center in furtherance of its patient care, education, and research missions.
  • This position will report to the Vice President, Legal Affairs, and Chief Legal Officer.
  • The incumbent is expected to provide strategic legal analysis and counsel to minimize civil, criminal, and regulatory risks while working closely with senior leadership and employees at all levels.
  • Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and collaboration skills. They must be capable of working independently and should be results-oriented.
  • This role is open to hybrid work, with one day in the office being required.


  • Juris Doctorate (J.D) degree from an accredited law school is required.
  • Must have previous experience working with healthcare providers, scientists and/or principal investigators.
