The Position

  • The Director of Employee Health will be responsible for the direction of clinical and administrative operations of the Employee Health Program and will serve a pivotal role in the promotion of employee safety, wellbeing, and clinical excellence throughout French Hospital Medical Center. 
  • Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the Director will collaborate closely with the department manager to ensure that departmental initiatives including employee access, recruitment, budgeting, safety, and quality are met.  
  • The Director will strive to improve and maintain the quality of employee health and will collaborate closely with the Employee Health Medical Directors and will oversee and direct initiatives pertaining to Worker’s Compensation to ensure high quality, services orientation, and cost efficiency throughout the organization.  
  • This Director will collaborate closely with workers compensation, Human Resources, Environmental Health and Safety, and the Office of Institutional Equity and Accessibility (OIEA) to implement a robust organization-wide employee health strategy.
  • This leader will design and oversee the development of organizational health policies, procedures, and protocols while performing outreach and establishing relationships with Medical Providers working for physician groups that service employees of FHMC. 
  • Seeking a skilled leader who will be able to effectively optimize and maintain organizational health plans while consistently contributing to the overall process improvement, customer satisfaction, and employee health throughout the organization. 
  • Candidates will ideally bring extensive knowledge and experience regarding compliance regulations, healthcare trends, data analysis, and market health programs. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required; master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Active California RN license is required. 
  • A minimum of three years of employee health experience within an acute care setting is required.  
  • A minimum of five years of experience in managing Workers Compensation claims is required. 
  • Healthcare experience is required.
