Division SVP Chief Financial Officer opportunity over 11 hospitals in Washington state!
The Division SVP Chief Financial Officer role is a key senior management job responsible for planning, directing and administratively coordinating the financial affairs of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health System (VMFH) in accordance with mission and business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements. An incumbent provides financial advice and expertise to the President/CEO of VMFH. Also provides general administrative support for the effective overall management of VMFH.
Work also involves management oversight of the following functions: Property Management, Management Service Organization (PHN), Health Information Management, Patient Access, Central Business office, Non-Governmental Reimbursement and General Financial Services.

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health will operate 11 hospitals and nearly 300 sites of care, including primary and specialty care clinics, same-day surgery centers, Benaroya Research Institute, Bailey-Boushay House and Virginia Mason Institute. The organization will employ more than 18,000 team members and staff, including nearly 5,000 employed physicians and affiliated providers.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Master’s degree in business administration, hospital administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
- Requires five (5) years’ experience in hospital financial management.
- Multi-hospital experience is preferred.
- Experience with merger, acquisitions, and integrations preferred.
