Fallon Health, a Massachusetts-based provider of health insurance and health care services, announces an exceptional opportunity for an innovative and forward-thinking Physician Executive to serve as Vice President and Medical Director of Summit ElderCare, a nationally recognized PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program.
For more than 27 years, Summit ElderCare, has provided care and services to the older adult population throughout central Massachusetts, offering medical care and social support for all participants. Recognized as one of the largest PACE programs in the country and the largest PACE program in New England, Summit ElderCare is not only central to Fallon Health’s mission of supporting the older adult population, but also to their strategic plan of driving growth in their government programs. Summit ElderCare now serves more than 1,300 participants across five locations, with a new location scheduled to open in late 2024.
Reporting to Fallon Health’s Senior Vice President of PACE Programs, the primary role of the PACE VP, Medical Director is to ensure that high-quality, cost-effective care is provided to PACE program participants in accordance with the PACE program mission, current standards of medical practice, applicable regulatory requirements and Fallon’s requirements. The VP, Medical Director will directly supervise five Site Leaders, providing strategic and clinical leadership to drive growth and expansion of care, promote clinical and service excellence, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a demonstrated passion for healthcare delivery and improvement with a focus on geriatric care, including a commitment to the promotion of healthcare quality, customer service, and innovation. Extensive experience and expertise practicing medicine with the frail and elder population in a setting leveraging an interdisciplinary approach to care management are required.
Education/Experience:
- MD/DO, Geriatric fellowship strongly desired.
- Licensure to practice medicine and surgery in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with a current DEA certificate.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Family Practice preferred.
- Recognized as an exceptional communicator and leader of teams and programs including leading organizations through rapid growth and expansion.
