Newly created Director of IT Ambulatory Services opportunity to provide leadership and expertise for clinical applications in Poughkeepsie, New York with HealthQuest

HealthQuest has partnered with B.E. Smith in the search for a Director of IT Ambulatory Services, a newly-created position. The Director is responsible for Ambulatory IT clinical applications and support staff of HealthQuest IT for the outpatient settings used by medical providers, nursing, and ancillary therapies throughout the organization. The Director will collaborate with clinical leaders and IT staff to gather and evaluate business requirements for clinical applications. Key goals include evaluating current resources and determining how to organize them to meet customer needs, as well as overseeing the Cerner go-live to ensure a smooth transition and integration of all new practices. 

HealthQuest is seeking a Director with informatics experience who has a collaborative leadership style and is focused on employee engagement and building a team-based culture. A Master’s degree in Nursing or another clinical field, or equivalent experience, is required. Other requirements include a minimum of six years of experience in the Ambulatory care setting, six plus years of experience working in a healthcare environment, and four years of information systems experience.
