University of Virginia Medical Center, an award-winning healthcare organization in Charlottesville, Virginia, is looking for an Ambulatory Manager for its Urology Clinic and a Director to lead regional Ambulatory Services.
Manager, Ambulatory – Urology Clinic
The Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of patient care services, administrative services, and financial services of the Urology and Pelvic Medicine Clinic. The leader will ensure processes are in place to maintain standards of care/administrative practice for all professional groups to assure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, the Ambulatory Manager will act as a liaison between providers and staff, while developing partnerships with clinicians, physicians, and administrative counterparts to achieve common goals. They will examine patient care expenses for designated patient populations and facilitate changes to decrease costs.
This is a leadership role that requires someone with a strong background in building relationships with physician partners and peers. Candidates must have experience with budgeting, scores improvement, litigation, and analytics. The ideal candidate is a nurse leader with operational management experience in an Ambulatory environment.
Qualifications:
- Three years relevant experience required. Management experience in an Ambulatory Environment preferred
- Bachelor's degree; must be licensed to practice as Registered Nurse
- Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred
Ambulatory, Director
The Director is responsible for the clinical, administrative, operational, and financial activities of ambulatory programs in multiple clinic settings, under the direction of the Service Line Administrator. The leader will work collaboratively with clinical departments, nursing, physician leadership, other medical center departments, management, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure timely patient access to care, operational efficiency, effective and safe delivery of patient care, practice productivity, fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and high patient satisfaction.
Essential duties include directing the outpatient operations through proper systems, coordinating the recruitment and orientation of key personnel, and ensuring effective communication between administrator, physicians, and nurses.
The ideal candidate will have strong Ambulatory and Academic hospital experience and demonstrates ability to build strong relationships with physicians. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Registered Nurse preferred.
Qualifications:
- Five years relevant experience required; management experience in an Ambulatory Environment preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; if licensed to practice as Registered Nurse, must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program
- Master's degree must be obtained within four years of hire or transfer
