This executive will serve as a resource to 30+ clinical staff, prioritizing engagement, patient satisfaction, and productivity in an union workplace. The Director should be a visible leader and take time to be active on the floor: participating in daily rounds, using research to resolve patient issues, and interacting with staff. He or she will work closely with the CNO and ACNO, as well as other peer directors, to establish a culture of guidance and collaboration throughout patient care services.

The Director of Patient Care Services must demonstrate a measurable record of strengthening engagement and improving employee performance. Experience at a Magnet hospital or at a hospital on a Magnet journey is a plus. And MSN, related leadership experience, and a medical-surgical background are all required.
