Nationally Recognized Health System Adds Physician Executive to Lead Health IT and Informatics Strategy

Congratulations to Dr. Vivek Reddy, the new Chief Health Information Officer at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. Intermountain Healthcare selected Dr. Reddy following a national executive search led by B.E. Smith.

Dr. Reddy brings more than 10 years of leadership in information technology and clinical informatics. Most recently, he served as Chief Medical Information Officer for UPMC Health System in Pittsburgh. He was also Chair of the UPMC Data/Research Policy and Use Committee.

Dr. Reddy received his Masters of Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University, his Doctor or Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University. His Vascular Neurology fellowship and residency was completed at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Reddy is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL), Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS), and American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
