The Vice President of Nursing is responsible for guiding and directing patient care services throughout the organization. The leader’s initial focus will be to build collaborative working relationships with nurse managers and nursing staff, establish trust, gain buy-in and serve as an engaging leader and mentor to the team.

The VP will conduct a SWOT analysis of the nursing department to discover potential opportunities, as well as work to implement new clinical pathways. The facility is highly involved in regulatory preparedness as well. This nurse leader will demonstrate solid communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide transparent nursing leadership in a union environment.

The ideal candidate must be a master’s-prepared RN; a doctorate is preferred.
