St. Peter’s Hospital Hires New Chief Executive Officer
Experienced Healthcare Executive Brings Collaborative Leadership Approach and an Emphasis on Patient Care and Community Partnerships
St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana, has hired Wade Johnson as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Johnson is an operational leader and skilled relationship-builder with more than 15 years of healthcare experience. He utilizes a collaborative leadership approach with an emphasis on patient satisfaction, economic development, and developing stronger relationships with the community. He will assume his new duties on July 31st.
Prior to accepting the CEO position at St. Peter’s Hospital, Mr. Johnson served as CEO at Valor Health, a critical access hospital system in Emmett, Idaho. Previously in his career, he served as CEO for Pen Bay Healthcare in Rockport, Maine, and Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser, Idaho.
Mr. Johnson holds a Master of Science in Medical Science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, and a Master of Business Administration from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Washington University in Cheney. Mr. Johnson achieved Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a certified Six Sigma Change Facilitator.
St. Peter’s is a system of healthcare services including a 123-bed acute care hospital, physicians clinics, cancer treatment center, urgent care clinics, home health and hospice care, dialysis center, and ambulance services. The system serves the Helena region and several counties in southwest Montana, with a combined population of approximately 97,000 residents.
