She is a seasoned healthcare executive search professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning public health, academic medicine, retained search, and healthcare leadership recruitment. She specializes in identifying and placing transformational leaders across hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, faculty practice plans, and healthcare nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining AMN Healthcare, Gwendolyn served as Assistant Vice President of Executive Recruitment, Leadership and Learning at UTHealth Houston. In this role, she expanded the institution's executive search function from a single recruiter to a high-performing team of professionals, leading searches for C-suite executives, physician leaders, and senior administrators across nursing, dentistry, and medicine. She is recognized for her strategic approach to workforce planning, talent acquisition, and leadership development within complex healthcare and academic environments.
Throughout her career, Gwendolyn has partnered with organizations to successfully recruit and retain exceptional leaders while supporting organizational growth and long-term succession planning. Her expertise includes executive search strategy, leadership assessment, workforce optimization, and healthcare talent management.
Gwendolyn earned a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and Planning from Tennessee State University. She is certified in Crucial Conversations and maintains active memberships in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), CUPA-HR, and the National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE).
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Gwendolyn enjoys supporting her children at golf tournaments and gymnastics competitions and spending quality time with her family.
