Rachael Burns brings nearly 15 years of specialized experience in executive search within the healthcare industry, delivering strategic solutions and exceptional senior level physician and administrative leaders to a wide range of healthcare organizations. Rachael’s expertise spans executive and C-Suite positions across the spectrum of healthcare settings, including clinically integrated health systems, critical access and community hospitals, medical groups, academic medical centers, NCI-designated cancer centers, as well as the managed care and insurance industries.  

As a trusted consultant, Rachael partners closely with clients to understand the operational, financial, and cultural dynamics of each organization and leadership opportunity. Whether working in partnership with Boards of Directors, search committees or directly with executive leadership, her collaborative approach, attention to detail and depth of experience in all aspects of successful search execution have earned her a reputation for excellence and long-term success in executive recruitment. Rachael’s recent placements include CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CNOs, CIOs, Chief Physician Executives and Chief Medical Officers, and executive level quality leaders as well as academic department chairs, division chiefs and program directors. 

Before joining AMN Healthcare, Rachael served as a senior consultant with a leading national executive search firm, where she spent nearly a decade focused on delivering high-impact leaders exclusively to healthcare organizations. She also brings early career experience in recruitment, talent development and operations with global leaders in the service industry. 

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She is known for her integrity, industry expertise, and unwavering commitment to client and candidate satisfaction.
