Make a cultural impact and improve patient care as the new Chief Nursing Officer for University of New Mexico Hospitals

The Position
  • The Chief Nursing Officer provides clinical oversight of the administration, management and leadership of the inpatient and clinical programs and services within University of New Mexico Hospitals (527 licensed beds); University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital, including a 20 bed pediatric ER and ICU, a 34-bed pediatric acute care unit, a 20-bed pediatric oncology unit, a pediatric surgery suite and four OR suites; and Carrie Tingley Hospital (24 staffed beds), and in support of the UNM Health System and UNM Health Sciences Center
  • Develops and oversees protocol and process for care quality, effectiveness and efficiency in a manner that supports financial viability and ensures the provision of high quality patient care
  • Establishes and maintains a patient-centered environment while building partnerships with the senior leadership team, medical staff and throughout the community
  • Requires a Master’s degree in related discipline and at least 10 years of progressive administrative experience
