Summary

Seeking a mission-focused physician leader to join Harbor Health Services Inc. as Senior Medical Director in Eastern Massachusetts! 


The Position

  • The Senior Medical Director, Community Health Centers, will be responsible for the direction and leadership of clinical practices across Harbor Health’s Community Health Centers.  
  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Community Health Centers, the Senior Medical Director will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring safety, quality, and patient satisfaction throughout the organization. 
  • The Senior Medical Director will advise the CEO and compliance executive leaders on important updates regarding risk management, quality, and malpractice claims and will be responsible for the overseeing and maintaining the current quality Improvement plan. 
  • This individual will collaborate closely with other Harbor senior leadership including the Senior VP, Site Practice Managers, Director of Nursing, and Medical Directors to improve current processes, establish performance standards, and ensure compliance pertaining to local, state, and federal regulations. 
  • The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of provider initiatives including provider contracts/compensation plans, provider engagement/experience, training, orientations plans, and credentialing processes. 
  • This leader will represent the organization when collaborating with associations, institutions, and government bodies at the local, state, and national level. In addition, this individual will partner with other providers, including community health centers, community mental health centers, social service agencies, and area hospitals/provider networks. 

Requirements

  • MD/DO is required. Strong preference for residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Must possess a minimum of ten years of clinical practice experience in addition to a minimum of ten years of management experience is required.  
  • Clinical experience within a community health center and/or ambulatory setting is required.
